Creative Balance

It's been a very creative week for me.  I've been painting like crazy and
I got some much needed breakthrough in that area.  I've been
in a creative ditch and couldn't get out.  I feel like things have turned around
now and I'm back on course and loving it.
The trick is finding balance to everything.  There are only so many hours in a day, and
to juggle the time I have to give to art, to family, house cleaning, etc.etc.. is what I
need to find.

Off to the Zoo

Having a little family outing today for Spring Break.   We decided not to do a big trip, but
maybe a couple of day trips.  This is overnight about two hours away to see the zoo, go
shopping, etc.  Since our oldest son graduates from high school this year these times
are ones we should cherish, because they will not last long.

Feels like Spring

Feels like Spring !!!! It's 88 degrees and it's
Spring Break here. I love flowers and
Spring is my favorite seasons because I love
to pick out new flowers to plant and see things blooming
like this magnolia tree on the side of my house.
I also love planting herbs to use in
cooking and just to pick a sprig off and smell it.
This is a small painting I did above.  God created Adam
and Eve and set them in the Garden of Eden.  They were
able to commune with God in a very personal way.  We
have that ability today to get to know Him and have a
relationship like Adam and Eve did.   That relationship
is like a garden.  It must be nurtured, weeded etc..
to flourish.  You can't ignore a garden and expect things
to grow.  Our relationship with God is like that.  We
must pull the weeds, water, fertilize, prune, etc..
Until next time I hope you will visit "your garden".

CASA

Well, apparently I haven't gotten the "blog thing" down yet, at least the part about posting daily.  Come to think of it, I haven't got a lot of it down yet, but I am trying to learn.
I didn't mention in my bio, but I do CASA volunteer work and had to work on my report for an upcoming
court case.  If you don't know what CASA is, it stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate.  It is an
excellent way to help kids that are abused by representing them in court and giving them a voice.   I started a few months ago and already it has been an awesome experience.  I said all that, to actually say, that I've been busy with that these past few days,  and that's why I haven't posted. :-)
Until next time,

busy painting

Okay, here's the finished product.   I started another one just like this so I could keep one and sell the other. :-)    I think the second one is turning out better than the first.  I will post a picture of it when I'm
done.

A New Start

Well, this is it.....me branching out of my comfort zone and starting a blog.
It is my hope that this blog will be a blessing to someone....anyone.
I am excited about the possibilities and the challenges.  I will be sharing
my life, things on my heart, my artwork, and maybe even a recipe or two.
You just never know.  Hopefully, you will want to come back often
and share your thoughts as well.
 Blessings,
 Terri
